ID&T Cert Deliverables
The ID&T Cert university program included:
The Internet Design and Technology program at the Multimedia Studies Program (MSP), San Francisco State University, is a very strong vocational-intensive training program for people that work in high-tech.
The focus of the program, IA/IXD/UXD vocational training—learning by doing—was extensively using Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML/CSS, computer/Web programming, Web design, user-centered design, user/design research, information architecture, product design, interaction design, use case scenarios, user experience design, interface design, developing Web content, technical writing, understanding life cycle of projects, and project/product management. The program trained people to work in the Internet industry or other related industries.
The program also stressed using traditional critical-thinking skills and a myriad of problem-solving competencies, required on IA/IXD/UXD projects, including project/product management acumen.
The primary focus of my program was individualized for specific user/design research and information architect and user experience design and product design for the high-tech industry; successfully completed numerous portfolios and a variety of relevant internships—in a high-tech environment.
“ Information architecture (IA) is the structural design of shared information environments; the art and science of organizing and labelling websites, intranets, online communities and software to support usability and findability; and an emerging community of practice focused on bringing principles of design and architecture to the digital landscape. ”

Major/Emphasis:
Since 1992, the MSP has been the training leader in digital media trends and technologies. Our community of creative and technical professionals provides expert training at our state-of-the-art facilities. We are proud to be designated by Adobe Systems, Inc. as a Partners By Design School as well as an Apple, Adobe, and Avid certified training center.
My specialization was in user/design research, information architecture, product design, interaction design, use case scenarios, production process for digital design products, information design, Adobe Creative Suite, Dreamweaver, Flash, multimedia, animation, Web design, interface design, computer/Web programming, HTML coding, user-centered design, usability testing, and project/product management.
The state-of-the-art training was for: Adobe Creative Suite, introduction to computer/Web programming, HTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, UNIX, Apache, BBEdit, Dreamweaver. The curriculum was centered around my specialized course of study for the information architect and user experience designer major/emphasis at MSP. It is important to understand computer/Web programming, since code requirements are always taken into consideration.
The Professor that taught the information architect courses was previously graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, including extensive professional experience in the industry as an information architect and usability tester.
